EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a natural method to help release stress, dissolve intrusive and limiting thoughts and emotions, and break unhealthy habits.
EFT is an energy psychology method based on the discovery that negative emotions create disturbances in the body’s energy field. These disturbances are, on a subconscious level, embedded in your chemistry. This explains why it is so hard to try to resolve an issue simply through willpower or logical and mental reasoning. You might even at times feel that you have an "inner saboteur" who works against you and therefore is unable to create the change and healing you desire.
The roots of EFT come from ancient Chinese acupuncture, where the teaching is that our energy moves into and through specific meridian pathways. When these meridian points are blocked, it causes illnesses of various forms. This teaching is then combined with the psychology of emotional and mental distress, and instead of using needles, we gently tap with our fingers.
Thus, in the process of EFT, we highlight the psychological part of the issue that is rooted in the subconscious while tapping on a few acupuncture points (meridian points).
This combination allows you to reduce and release distress and allows your energy to flow freely again.
• A session starts with a pre-talk to share information about the session, clarify the issue to be processed, and create clarity on the desired outcome.
• Then, while addressing and vocalising the issue, you'll simultaneously tap on the meridian points to process the issue and the emotions arising.
• Finally, post-talk, to further help the process if needed and discuss any questions.
